Seems to me that Blockbuster didn’t want to share the profits and collaborate with Netflix. It also shows that they were not able to communicate well enough to help make both business thrive. Blockbuster should have known that as the world progressed with new innovations, such as online streaming and being able to send DVDs around the world, that it was a great idea to collaborate with Netflix. I personally prefer Amazon Prime Video and Netflix over any cable television because there is a variety of movies I can see without having to go to a store and finding a movie for the same price that you would pay for Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. They probably should have put their pride aside and made it work with Netflix and they would still be in business now.
