WEEK 3 DQ1

A literature review is a systematic examination of the scholarly literature related to a chosen topic. The resulting narrative analyzes and describes what is known about a topic, reveals gaps or needs related to that topic, provides context for a topic, and indicates what needs to be done to address the topic.

For your capstone literature review, describe two or three search strategies for locating scholarly sources related to your chosen topic. What online databases, search terms, descriptors, or key words will be used to guide your literature search? How will you use Boolean operators?

WEEK 3 DQ2

Review the resource titled “Organizing Literature Reviews,” located in the topic Resources. After reviewing the guidance and tips on organizing a literature review provided in this resource, compare the different categories for structural patterns commonly used in literature reviews. Describe the approach you will take to organizing your own literature review.

You may consider using the tool “PUB-690: Literature Review Summary Table,” located in Class Resources, to help you organize your literature review. Note: It is not part of your DQ assignment or Part 1 capstone deliverable. This table is provided as a resource, but it will not replace your narrative literature review and is not submitted as an assignment for grading.
