Midterm Essay Exam Outline

Instructions:
You have been thinking about your research paper since the beginning of the course and it is time to submit your outline for grading. Please complete your outline as follows:

Your outline should be about one page in length and should describe in short sentences the flow of your paper. It should list the steps in order of how you are going to present your paper. You should have 3-5 general headings with 2-3 sub-headings under each general heading. Use an APA resource or Internet search to review examples of outlines.

As you consider topics it’s a good idea to review the Grading Rubric for that assignment so you cover all the requirements.

Research paper assignment guidance:

Select a case in American history that has produced change within society and/or law enforcement as it relates to race and cultural issues. Discuss the issue at hand, the impact it had at the time and the change that it produced for the future.

Your paper needs to be 6-8 pages in length. Your paper needs to be written in APA format which means 10-12 font, double spaced, include a title, abstract and reference page. These pages can be part of your total page count. I have included a web link to assist you in having a general overview of what APA papers should look like in case you have never had to write a formal paper.
